All pupils also joined together in the combined choir for `A Million Dreams`, `Rewrite the Stars` and `This Is Me` from The Greatest Showman - creating truly magical moments.
We are incredibly proud of everyone involved! 🌟
In History, we learned about Richard III. We learned about how he became king (by committing regicide/killing the two princes who were next in the line of succession after Edward IV). Being very greedy and taking people`s money through taxes. He was killed by Henry Tudor (played by Elvie) during the Battle of Bosworth. Until finally, he was discovered by archaeologists underneath a Tesco car park.
We loved welcoming CRIBBS as they shared the Easter story through their wonderful “Picture Easter” performance.
Using creative puppets and expressive `painting`, they brought the story to life in such an engaging and meaningful way for the children. It was a fantastic experience that helped everyone reflect on the message of Easter in a memorable and interactive way.
Thank you, CRIBBS, for such a special visit!
‘It was so much fun seeing the puppets explaining the Easter Story’
‘The puppets arguing was funny’
`Using paints and stencils to explain The Easter Story while we watched which was really good `
For Science Week, we participated in a live lesson with a local engineer who explained how she uses water to facilitate different requirements for buildings such as heating, hot water and toilets. We also took part in a Picture News live lesson about the oceans and the different layers of the ocean.
Natalie showed us an experiment using a water balloon and how the temperature of the water inside the balloon keeps the match from bursting it whereas it would pop with just air. Then, we took part in 2 experiments that demonstrated the water tension using a pipette and a coin, and how particles can be dispersed using soap and water.
Then, over the course of the week, we took part in different experiments in our classrooms.
Dr. Seuss mixed vinegar and baking soda to examine the reaction. Donaldson tested our heart rates during our P.E session to test which exercises made our heart rate increase. Dahl made aeroplanes to testing air resistance. KS2 really enjoyed taking part in the online video and experiments!
